Performance Coaching

Will Performance Coaching Help You?

If you aren’t being coached it’s unlikely you’re a high achiever or are on your way to becoming one because no one has enough resources to reach world-class status alone! Highly successful people assemble a team of mentors, coaches, role models and others to help them along the way.

Once you have adequate technical ability you need Performance Coaching to overcome non-technical issues such as learning to win, self-talk, staying focused, confidence, and dealing with pressure. These are issues that people in every sport and every profession must deal with in order to reach the top. But most people don’t have a method of dealing with those issues.

That’s where I come in.

The coaching process I use is called G.R.E.A.T. as in you’ll be greater tomorrow than you are today. In some ways this process is nothing new. The steps are ones that you’d get around to eventually if you have enough time and persevere enough to coach yourself. The trouble is by the time you figure everything out the opportunity is likely to have passed you by.

Still, you might wonder if Performance Coaching is really for you. So here are a few testimonials I’ve received over the years.

In the past year Bob Skura has helped me improve my birdie average from 3.63 to 4.11 per round, my putting average from 29.89 to 29.33 and increase my money earnings by 48%. Jon Mills, Nationwide Tour player.

Bob has taken my mind off of the technical part of the game. Jerry Wright, Sales rep, 1 Hdcp

Before working with Bob Skura I was a 7 handicap and my best was 76 but I wanted to shoot 73, which I did. Creating a plan that kept me keen and on track was key to my success. DonMacKenzie, Accountant, 5 Hdcp

I managed to shoot my target score of 75 (previous best was 82) and I’m still pretty tickled. Since then I’ve broken 80 more than a dozen times and I’ve dropped my handicap form 14 to 10. Frank Siu, Business Owner, 10 Hdcp

Golfers aren’t the only ones who can benefit from Performance Coaching. Here’s a testimonial from a teaching pro I’ve had the pleasure to work with.

It's been a couple of weeks since Bob Skura and I talked and I can already see improvement in my teaching.  I’ve given the G.R.E.A.T. process a go and I'm seeing better results with my students. Andrew Michael. Teaching Professional, Philadelphia and Fort Lauderdale.

Performance Coaching works regardless of your challenge because it creates a focus for your efforts and we all know what happens when you’re totally focused. You have breakthroughs. You reach new plateaus. And that’s exactly what you’re looking for.

How much coaching will you need?
I guarantee that you’ll only need one session for any issue you want to address.

So let’s say you’ve been letting good rounds slip away and want to deal with your ability to finish strong. We’ll work together for about 45 minutes during which time we’ll develop a strategy for your issue. Then a week or two later we’ll complete the session with a 15-30 minute follow up.  This is the element of the G.R.E.A.T. process that firmly cements your improvement.

Like what you’ve read so far? Want to finally do something that’ll make a difference in your game? Drop me an email at: doc@howgreatgolfersthink.com and let me know what your biggest frustration is. Together we’ll determine if Performance Coaching is what you need. If it is we’ll set up a Skype or phone conversation and you’ll be on your way.

How much does Performance Coaching cost?

The cost per session is $100 by Skype or $125 by phone. The cost of face-to-face sessions depends on time and travel.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a professional, an elite player or a novice. And it doesn’t matter if your issue is about your golf game or some other concern. The G.R.E.A.T. process can be applied to any performance issue you’re facing.

In short I’ll take you from where you are to where you want to be. And remember you have my guarantee that you’ll be satisfied or your money will be refunded.
