Praise From The Pros ...
Mr. Skura, I just finished reading your book. It was awesome!!
I am encouraging my players to read it as well. I have read numerous sport psychology books that I have accumulated over my 23 years as the Men's Head Coach at Methodist University so I believe I know a little something about this topic.
I have to say it was an easy read that I enjoyed very much. We are considering requiring our PGA/PGM students who have not passed the PGA's PAT to purchase a copy.

Men's Golf Coach, Asst. Director, PGM Program Methodist University
This book allows a person to access everything he needs to know about the mental game in one convenient place. It also presents these ideas in an easy-to-understand, enjoyable format.
Dave Lea, Canadian Tour Player (2006)I identified with the characters in How Great Golfers Think because they have thoughts and face challenges very similar to my own. I'm using this book as a reference guide with my students.
Daniel Cudmore, CPGA Professional, PEIThough I'm not much of a reader I started reading one afternoon and found myself on the sixth chapter by the end of the evening. The fact that How Great Golfers Think is more of a story and less of a textbook makes the reading very enjoyable.
Dan Poort, Associate Golf Professional, Hamilton Golf & Country Club...an interesting and entertaining approach to the mental game.
Buddy Alexander, Golf Coach, University of FloridaI’ve read the work of all the well-known psychologists, but for our sport How Great Golfers Think is the best yet.
We've put How Great Golfers Think on the required resource list for our PGM program.
Brad Doey, Coordinator, Professional Golf Management, Georgian CollegeI intend to incorporate the lessons from this book into our program.
John O'Connor, Golf Coach, Quinnipiac UniversityThis book is a clear and straightforward explanation of the core mental skills every athlete needs.
Don McCrae, Olympian and Olympic Basketball Coach (1960-1984)I'm encouraging all of my players to read How Great Golfers Think.
I strongly encourage every golfer to travel the road of discovery that the foursome of friends in this book travels.
Dave Hollinger, Golf Coach, University of Waterloo Warriors (2005-Present)I enjoyed the simple relaxed writing style Skura uses to get his points across.
Betty Kaufmann, Men's Golf Coach, DePaul UniversityWe are using How Great Golfers Think as a teaching tool for our players.
Bryan Carbery Men's Team Coach, University of VictoriaWe have recommended that the students in our Professinal Golf Management Program use How Great Golfers Think - Perfecting Your Mental Game for psychological training.

Testimonial Tidbits ...
I’m compelled to say first, how much I enjoyed How Great Golfers Think and secondly how well written it is…… I mean extremely well written. It has so much to offer.
Scott MacKenzie, 1 HdcpI think Bob Skura should be commended for writing a great book that can and will help people with their golf games, regardless of their skill. Additionally, I believe this book is a great tool for golfers to improve their daily approach to life off the golf course. Personally, I was able to relate a lot of the scenarios that confronted the foursome to where I am right now in my life. In particular, the information about goals and breaking them down into sub-goals etc was just great and really resonated with me.
Kevin Dore, 2007 Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar, University of MichiganI am not one to normally respond to a book in a manner such as this, but after finishing your book (for the fourth time), I feel a strong need to thank you for the insights you provided to me.
I am a forty-seven year old man, who took up the game of golf four years ago … Since then I have become obsessed with this great game. Continuous investments (and re-investments!) in lessons, equipment and practice time allowed me to get to a 6 handicap, but I always seemed to struggle with the mental side of the game - whether it was during games or practice time.
Using only some of the principles you lay forth in your book in my first round back at our club this weekend, I found my level of comfort and concentration on the golf course to wildly exceed anything I have ever experienced before, and in one of the easiest rounds of golf I have ever played, achieved the scoring goal of 69 that I had set for myself prior to the beginning of the golf season (my first round ever in the 60's). One may be tempted to say it was just a coincidence that it occurred right after finishing your book, but I strongly believe the opposite.
Some of my fellow members at the club laughed at "me and my book" as just another symptom of my widely known golf obsession, but I have a feeling that interest in your book at our club significantly increased over the weekend, and I have taken to preaching the benefits from your work on the golf league website that I run.
Thank you for the excellent material. I truly hope there is more to follow.

I read How Great Golfers Think in two sittings and really enjoyed it. The way the story is told is great because it doubles as a lesson on life, not just golf. I'm planning to give the book another read soon being that it has so many good ideas to digest. This book is both unique and excellent.
Jonathan Rigby, Financial Advisor I could hardly put the book down. It's very well written and I like the flow.
Oliver Jahn, 8 Hdcp
I've placed this book in a location where I can't help but see it often. And every time I do, I'm inspired to believe that almost anything is possible. It's a template for me to live my dreams by.
Jerry Wright, 2 HdcpAfter reading How Great Golfers Think and using the visualization techniques my partner and I managed to win a best-ball event at our club.
What a terrific book!
It’s not hard to see why college coaches recommend this book to their players. Even more impressive is the difference the concepts laid out in it made to me.
I’m not a scratch golfer but an 8 handicapper who seemed to have reached a plateau at this level. Amusingly I have many of the bad mental habits portrayed by Frank and Andy!
My wife read the book first and repeatedly told me that it would definitely help me. As usual, she was right!
…. I managed to find a zone that lasted for just about the entire round – longer that I’ve ever experienced before. Best of all, a late double bogey in the 17th didn’t derail me as it would have in the past. The book’s concepts helped me “keep it together” and manage a par 5 on the last hole for a “5 over” 77!
